Phytofar members have invested about 10 million euro over the past five years in providing a range of solutions for garden pests that are adapted to the needs of small gardens and non-professional users. However, using these products correctly in accordance with the instructions on the label remains key to ensure safety for customers, their families and the environment.
Actually reading the label remains the first step to ensure the correct use of plant protection products. Trained staff in shops who hold competence certificates known as ’phytolicences’ can also inform customers about any issues related to the use of these products.
To provide extra help for users, Phytofar – together with the retail associations Comeos and BTV – have set up a toll free number (0800 62 604*) where consumers can get practical advice from highly-trained professionals. They are available six days a week from 8.00 to 20.00 during the gardening season and also on Sundays from 9.00 to 13.00 in the peak season from March 1st to June 30th .
